How to Fix Recurring "You Shut Down Your Computer Because of a Problem" on macOS Ventura

Ever since upgrading to macOS Ventura, new and irritating bugs keep cropping up. The latest I encountered is a dialog telling me

You shut down your computer because of a problem

instead of the better known one after kernel panics

Your computer was restarted because of a problem

Once encountered, this dialog has the annoying propensity to pop up at each reboot. You have to acquit it every time.

Researching this a bit, in my case the culprit was a stray diagnostic report about a “sleep-wake failure”. Deleting this file silenced the dialog permanently.

sudo rm /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Sleep\ Wake\ Failure_*

Indeed, my MacBook Pro did not wake up after entering sleep. This is a first with Ventura as well. I cannot remember a single time that a Mac did not wake up for me in 20+ years of using Apple devices before.
